No matter what your budget is, this year, lets promise ourselves to build a steady and classic wardrobe within our shopping capacity.
A very simple way to start with, as I often do myself, is to go online and window shop your favorite big designer labels, make a note of what you like, what's in style and the price it comes with.
Next, go around your budget friendly stores' websites and look around for similar outfits/ jewelry as in the expensive stores ( that you picked earlier ).
Try to create looks by mixing a jacket/ coat with a couple different dresses/ skirts/ pants to get more out of a single purchase. Similarly, pair a staple wardrobe essential ( like an old pencil skirt or a crisp shirt from your existing wardrobe ) with a number of different pieces to mix-and-match different looks.
Keep a nice pair of heels and a pair of flats/ boots ( as weather permits ) in a metallic hue or classic black that you can wear with a lot many outfits.
A descent evening clutch and a neutral/ metallic colored day bag will go a long way too. Play around with jewelry and accessories and make it work for you without feeling broke but always being stylish!
