Yesterday I saw this beautiful movie, Burlesque, that I had missed in 2010. It was an absolute pleasure to my senses, the lighting, the set designs, the costumes, the songs… It was a treat to watch Cher perform, who was majestic as ever. Also Christina Aguilera’s performance was stunning. Not sure of her acting skills much, but the dancing and the songs were impeccable.
Cher as usual was as beautiful as ever, the whole movie felt like a fabulous performance, at times it took to Las Vegas, such was the grandeur. The costumes were all very well made with real Swarovski crystals and pearls, the colors, and the feathers everything was simply fabulous. It did at times also remind me of Moulin Rouge. As the movie by-line goes, it takes a legend, to make a star!! This movie was a star!
All the dancers were beautiful, looked like a lot of training must have gone into it.
Now Burlesque is a literary, dramatic or musical work intended to cause laughter by caricaturing the manner or spirit of serious works, or by ludicrous treatment of their subjects.[1] The word derives from the Italian burlesco, which itself derives from the Italian burla – a joke, ridicule or mockery.Its fun to watch and visually very very appealing.
This movie is really gonna be on my mind for a long looong time. Who knows, maybe a collection might come out of it soon!! Much luv.
